BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS

Fax your fax document directly into your modem, thus your fax image is captured into your PC's hard disk using an installed standard voice capable Fax / Modem.

The captured fax is automatically translated into a graphic Tiff attached to your  email software- Eudora, Microsoft mail, Netscape mail, or others-  and ends up being delivered to the destination Fax number / Email address

CAPABILITIES OF PROGRAM

The IMRA software can be programmed to automatically:

  • Open your existing mail software

  • Dial an  internet connection

  • Send all your pending mail and faxes

  • Check the mail / status of your sent faxes on server

  • Send any fax messages set in queue

REFERENCING

After a message is sent, a unique reference is assigned to it and the initials of the sender example Fax Ref (ADM 12) will show on the local fax answerback; the other end recipient receives the fax as if it was originally sent from your fax machine.

CONFIRMATION

When a confirmation is received, the duration, destination, and cost of the sent message is assigned by the IMRA Fax software, where also the balance of the user is decremented by the dollar value of the confirmed sent fax  message.

OPTIONS IN THE SOFTWARE MAIN MENU

The IMRA Fax software user can send to any worldwide recipient any of the following :

  • Fax to Fax

  • Fax To Email

  • Email to Fax

  • Email to Email

BILLING

Upon using Fax to Email, the balance of the user is deducted by 10 cents.
Upon using Email to Fax or Fax to Fax, the user's balance is deducted according to the pricelist assigned on the software.

ADMINISTRATOR FUNCTIONS

The Administrator can :

  • Login into the system,

  • View and/or modify all users' Ready, Sent, Holding messages destinations and contents.

  • Verify any sent message delivery status whether successful or failure.

  • Ability to assign users Address Books, shortcuts, and speed dials.

  • The administrator computer is the one and only one computer that can Act with the Mail and messages status; however, it is not necessary that the fax modem is on the administrator's computer.

CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS

Similar to that of the administrator, but the controller PC cannot access the mail server to send and update all users' messages status.

USER OPTIONS

  • Login into the software and create his personal messages (Fax / Email)

  • Specify worldwide Fax / Email destinations.

  • Can simply see their messages and counters relevant to their initials as automatically assigned by them through the login.

  • Check their own messages status as whether Delivered,  Failed ,or  Pending

  • Resend an already sent message Fax or email

HOW TO SEND A FAX

To send a fax to a specific destination the user can either use the Fax2Fax service or the Fax To Email service. The user can start doing so by entering his password (numeric) followed by a star (*) then followed by his destination number (with international prefix example 00 / 011 or without 00 / 011), which can be  either a valid fax number , or a preprogrammed speed dial.

SPEED DIALS

Preprogrammed speed dial : A speed dial can be a number of three digits that speeds the user's access to either email address or fax number. Upon using the speed dial from your fax machine the software will differentiate whether to send the fax to an email or a valid fax number or even to a Group Code with multiple Fax destinations and Email address .

Speed dials mainly are assigned from the administrator screen from within the address book.

MANUAL PROCEDURE OF USING THE FAX2FAX SERVICE

1st, make sure that your modem is ready for receipt of manual faxes. 2nd, call the server extension number, then you will hear a tone, sometimes nothing depending on your fax modem specs. 3rd, enter your destination number followed by a pound key (#). The user will then hear the Fax tone confirming that the modem accepted his fax, and it does receive the fax from the fax machine and processes it into the IMRA software, and specifies who is the user and sends the fax to either an email or fax depending on what the user has in the destination (Whatsoever before the star Key).
